La mia passione per la musica risale ai favolosi anni ’80 , anni di eccessi ma anche e soprattutto di grandi produzioni musicali : ho visto stelle nascere e spengersi nel corso del tempo , ascoltato ritmi che non avrei mai piu’ sentito.. In particolare ho vissuto in prima persona, da spettatore attraverso lo schermo e in prima fila ai concerti, la vita delle persone note nel campo musicale.

Questi attori della vita, nel loro mondo di suoni luci e melodie, mi sembravano talmente distanti da apparire quasi come divinita’ irraggiungibili, e tale impressione mi e’ in gran parte rimasta anche ora da adulto, almeno fino al giorno in cui ho incontrato Federico Scavo : con molta naturalezza (si e’ dimostrato fin da subito molto gentile ed alla mano) ha fatto in modo, senza alcuno sforzo, di far scendere tra noi spettatori quelle figure da me idealizzate fino a pochi momenti prima, e a quel punto ho capito che si’, vale sicuramente la pena non fermarsi al personaggio in se’ (e a quello che rappresenta) e di arrivare invece direttamente alla persona, coi suoi pregi e i suoi difetti .

Ma chi e’ Federico Scavo ? Conosciamolo meglio : Federico nasce a Fucecchio, provincia di Firenze  ed ha cominciato molto giovane a mostrare talento per la musica, in particolare per la House Music. Il suo primo successo (per la New System), “This is the night” e’ datato 1994, e supera molto in fretta i confini nazionali, in particolare ottenendo grossi riconoscimenti in Canada : seguono “Another brick in the wall” (track del 2002 approvata da Roger Waters del gruppo dei Pink Floyd, che ottiene un Disco D’Oro in Italia), alcuni remix di pezzi di artisti del calibro di Bob Sinclar e John Acquaviva per passare poi nel 2011 a “Strump”.

Le sue ultime produzioni risalgono al 2015 : stiamo parlando di “Parole Parole” per la d:Vision / Energy Production, remix del grande successo di Mina del 1972, e del recentissimo “The Drums” , per Area 94 Records.

Federico Scavo e’ inoltre attivo come DJ , avendo suonato nei piu’ famosi clubs e nelle discoteche sia in Italia che nel resto del mondo, facendo ovunque conoscere il suo modo di fare musica .

Che dire.. Un personaggio con cosi’ vasta esperienza nel mondo musicale non puo’ non emozionare almeno un minimo, soprattutto sapendo che tra pochissimi giorni sara’ ospite dei nostri microfoni: io ci saro’, ma ora sono fermamente convinto che ci sarete anche voi .

My passion for music was born during the fabulous Eighties, years full of excesses but also in particular full of great musical productions : I saw stars come to life and fall down in time, listened to rhythms I would never have listened from then on.. In particular I personally experienced, as a spectator in front of the screen and on the front line during concerts, well known people’s lives in the musical field.

These life’s actors, in their own world made of sounds lights and songs, looked like so far to me to appear almost non-reachable God-like people, and this image was mostly lasting even now as an adult, at least until the day in which I met Federico Scavo : with great spontaneity (he showed to be since the beginning very gentle and easy going) he brought down among us people, with no particular efforts, those characters idealized by me until moments before, and in that moment I understood it was surely worth running the risk not to stop in front of the character (and to what he represented) and reach the true person directly, with all his virtues and defects .

Who is Federico Scavo ? Let’s introduce him a bit better : Federico was born in Fucecchio (near Florence, Italy), and he started in an early age to show his talent for music, for House Music in particular.

His first success (created under New System), “This is the night”, was made in 1994, and it went pretty fast beyond the national borders, in particular gaining important prizes in Canada: the following ones were “Another brick in the wall” (a 2002 track approved by Pink Floyd’s member Roger Waters, which gained a “Disco D’Oro” in Italy), some remixes of tracks created by artists such as Bob Sinclar and John Acquaviva, and “Strump” in 2011.

His last productions bear the date 2015 : we’re talking about “Parole Parole” created under d:Vision / Energy Production, Mina’s (an italian famous singer) great 1972 success remix, and about the very new “The Drums”, created under Area 94 Records.

Federico Scavo is active also as a DJ, he played in the most famous clubs and discos both in Italy and in the rest of the world, bringing his way of playing music everywhere.
